Whether you are looking for a theatre to stage a multi-week production, an AEA showcase, or a festival, The A.R.T./New York Theatres has space to suit your needs. Our performance venues have up to 87 and 149 seats respectively (depending on configuration), and come equipped with technical and production resources to help bring your production to life.

Long-Term Rentals

The A.R.T./New York Theatres are primarily available for rental on a weekly basis. 

Rental Subsidy Fund

A.R.T./New York member theatres with annual budgets of under $1 million are invited to inquiry about subsidized rentals. We offer periodic informational tours of the spaces to help you find which is best suited to your needs. For more information on the application process, visit our Rental Subsidy Fund Page » 

Non-Subsidized Rentals.

If you do not qualify for subsidy but are interested in our spaces, the theatres will be available for rental at non-subsidized rates on a first-come, first-served basis. Please submit a rental inquiry to learn more about our current rental rates. 
 

Short-Term Rentals

Are you planning a one night event—a reading or a panel discussion—and simply need a place to stage it? Availability permitting, we are happy to consider your request for nights when our theatres are dark. Inquiries will be considered on an ongoing basis no more than 60 days prior to the date of the request, once we know the calendar and production design of the long-term productions that will be utilizing the space.

First, take a look at the calendar below! Then, please contact us at [email protected] and include the following information:

  • Your Name and your contact information (email and phone)
  • Name of Company, and whether you are a current A.R.T./New York Member
  • Theatre and Day(s) of interest
  • Description of your rental - e.g. # of performers, preliminary schedule, technical needs, ticketing plans, etc.

 

 

Insurance Requirements

Proof of insurance is required to rent at the A.R.T./New York Theatres, and certificates are due one week prior to the start of your rental. Your policies need to be in place for the entirety of your rental period as indicated in your rental contract. Depending on the needs and scope of your production, the specific policies necessary may vary. Please click on the following links for more information:
