Access ALLways: Introduction to Equitable Accessibility in your Planning, Process, and Performance

Location: The Leynse Studio at Spaces@520 (520 8th Avenue, 3rd Floor, New York, NY)
Participating Speakers/Instructors: Kinetic Light
Presented by internationally-recognized disability arts organization Kinetic Light, this hands-on workshop will include foundational materials about disability, equity, and access, with principles and frameworks to begin to apply in your own work.
Specific topics will include planning and executing artistic & rehearsal processes, crafting your artistic content to be equitably accessible from the beginning, and getting all these pieces to your performance. Participants will additionally receive an invitation to a wider community of ALLways practitioners.
Join Kinetic Lights as we all work to normalize accessibility and ultimately reposition it as an opportunity to expand and inform our creative processes!
This session is ideal for directors, choreographers, artistic and stage managers, designers, and all artists or creative personnel. This session will also be valuable to production personnel, presenters and venue staff, faculty and teaching artists, communications and development professionals, and administrative workers.
