2022 COVID-19 Health Update: A.R.T/New York Vaccine Policy

The following COVID-19 Vaccine Policy (the “Policy”) is subject to change at any time based on

changes in City, State, or Federal law; updates to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) or World

Health Organization (WHO) guidelines; or changes in other A.R.T/New York policies.

PLEASE NOTE: We are electing to continue with our existing mask mandate and vaccine requirements despite current changes to the Key2NYC program. We are working in concert with many of our members to keep these policies in place out of concern for the health and safety of all who would enter our spaces.

In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, with the safety of our members, office tenants, stakeholders, and our staff in mind; A.R.T./New York will continue to require that all eligible individuals (12 years of age and over) visiting any A.R.T/New York Facility to (1) provide evidence of full COVID-19 vaccination (i.e., two weeks following receiving both doses of a two-dose vaccine or a single dose of a one-dose vaccine with a COVID-19 vaccine authorized for emergency use by the FDA or WHO) and (2) an acceptable form of identification to enter at the time of their visit. For those ages 5 to 11 at least one dose of vaccine is required to enter. Effective December 20, 2021. Unvaccinated children under age 5 are ONLY permitted on-site if they are masked. Limited accommodation circumstances as permitted by the NYC Order must be submitted for review and approval at least two (2) weeks in advance of their visit by A.R.T./New York.

Proof of vaccination may be provided upon arrival or in advance by completing our secure A.R.T./New York Vaccination Affirmation Form. Proof of vaccination includes your vaccination record card (paper or photo) or any digital vaccine card via an app, in addition to your photo ID.

Acceptable forms of identification include, but not limited to,

  • A driver’s license,

  • A non-driver government ID card

  • IDNYC card

  • Passport

  • School or work ID card.

Acceptable forms of vaccination records are ONE of the following:

  • CDC Vaccination Card (photo or hardcopy)

  • NYC Vaccination Record (photo or hardcopy)

  • NYC COVID Safe App: Android | iOS

  • CLEAR Health Pass: Android | iOS

  • Excelsior Pass (or Excelsior Pass Plus)

  • An official immunization record (photo or hardcopy) from outside NYC or the U.S including first name and last name, date of birth, vaccine product name (only WHO authorized vaccines are acceptable), date(s) administered, and the site where the vaccine was administered or name of the person who administered it.

Proof of vaccination will be required for all visitors,  including all rental participants active in our rented studios, theatres, any guests, caregivers, or audience members. Our staff will verify documentation of vaccination against COVID-19 from all persons and affirm that they are vaccinated. Individuals who are not in compliance with this Policy will be refused service and not permitted entry. Employees, members, independent contractors, and volunteers who fail to comply with this Policy may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment, contract, or engagement.

All other existing safety measures and guidelines at our A.R.T/ New york Facilities remain in place. Including but not limited to the mask requirement. This policy is ever-changing as the pandemic is ever-changing and we reserve the right to modify this policy as we determine may be necessary in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local law or guidance. We are working to develop the best strategy for implementing the City's vaccine mandate, and we will continue to keep you informed about changes to our policies as we do so.

Continuing with this policy is a crucial step in reducing the risk of exposure at our locations, and we appreciate your understanding and compliance. We are doing our best to ensure the safety of all who enter our spaces or come into contact with our employees. Please note that our staff are working under this mandate and have provided full proof of vaccination in order to work in our facilities.
