Why is Member News orange today? June is National Gun Violence Awareness Month. The Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice and city Council Member Lauri Cumbo are working together to bring visibility to ending Gun Violence through a city-wide campaign, "Go Orange."

Join A.R.T./New York in supporting this effort! You can help raise visibility for the issue in a variety of ways:
  • Participate in a city-wide campaign by turning your social media profile pictures orange and sharing orange colored content that expresses your organizations opposition to gun violence. Use the hashtag #NYCArtsGoOrange
  • Share the Anti-Gun Violence Awareness logo wherever appropriate. The image above and the logo in the header of this Member News are both great to use and share!
  • Include National Gun Violence Awareness Month in your next e-blast and encourage your audiences to participate in NYC Art Goes Orange programming.
  • Take advantage of this packet of sample social media content.
