CURTAIN CALL: A.R.T./NEW YORK'S ANNUAL MEMBER MEETING

Curtain Call 2011

Curtain Call is A.R.T./New York’s annual meeting. The event is traditionally held in late spring, and is an opportunity for the nonprofit theatre community to come together for an insightful and celebratory evening. The program includes the DeWitt Stern Local Hero Awards, The Laura Pels Keynote Address, State of the Industry Remarks by Ginny Louloudes, and a post-event reception.

DEWITT STERN LOCAL HERO AWARDS

The DeWitt Stern Local Hero Awards, supported annually by the DeWitt Stern Group, provide A.R.T./New York members with an opportunity to nominate and honor local vendors and business owners whose support and assistance have made an invaluable contribution. Nonprofit theatres frequently rely on the donations and in-kind contributions of businesses to make their work and events a success. The Local Hero Awards recognize the bond that theatres have to the businesses within their communities by showcasing vendors and proprietors who have gone above and beyond to lend a hand to the theatres.

THE LAURA PELS KEYNOTE ADDRESS

The Laura Pels Keynote Address, generously sponsored by the Laura Pels International Foundation for Theatre, gives an established and working playwright a platform to express their thoughts and concerns. Past speakers include Richard Nelson, Teresa Rebeck and Lynn Nottage.
