Quickbooks: The Basics

You will receive instructions on how to join the online meeting once you complete the registration form.

Are you ready to move on to the next step in bookkeeping with your theatre company but don’t know where to begin? This workshop will cover everything from how to acquire QuickBooks and open a new company file, to the inner workings of writing checks, making deposits and reconciling with your bank statement. This course will address all of your most basic how-to questions.

This workshop is appropriate for artists and organizations who want an introduction into Quickbooks.

Heather Allen is currently the Director of Finance at 321 Theatrical Management where she oversees finances for clients such as Wicked and SpongeBob Squarepants the Musical, among others. She has 15 years of experience in commercial and not-for-profit theater having spent time on the staffs of Manhattan Ensemble Theatre, Richard Frankel Productions (now Frankel-Green Theatrical Management) and serving as Production Accountant at Galbraith & Company. She has worked on over 40 theatrical productions spanning Broadway, Off Broadway and touring companies.
