IRS Receipt Requirements for All Gifts and In-Kind Contributions

Tuesday, February 18, 2020
6:00pm - 8:00pm

A.R.T./New York Conference Room
520 8th Avenue, 3rd Floor, Suite 319
New York, NY 10018

**This workshop can be attended in person at the A.R.T./New York Manhattan Offices or virtually via an interactive livestream.

The IRS requires organizations to recognize in-kind contributions for 990 purposes. They also have specific requirements for receipts given to contributors. There are also special forms and appraisals that must be filed in certain situations. Penalties can be high for non-compliance and your contributors could be hurt, as well.

This workshop will cover IRS compliance for in-kind and cash contributions. We will also discuss reporting of in-kind contributions on CPA prepared and audited financial statements. Recognition is not always the same for financial statement and tax purposes. We’ll discuss the similarities and differences for tax and financial statement reporting.

This workshop is suitable for officers and directors, as well as managing directors, development directors, and their staff members.
