The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) and the Taxpayer Certainty and Disaster Tax Relief Act mean that employers can now claim a refundable tax credit against the employer share of Social Security tax for all four quarters of 2020 and the first three quarters of 2021.

This tax credit has been a lifeline for many small arts organizations that have already exhausted their Payroll Protection Program and EIDL funds and kept employees on payroll
