The 2017 Theatre Internship fair is an opportunity for students to meet and greet with theatre companies in New York City. All theatre companies present at the fair are seeking interns to support their work in fields such as production, marketing, fundraising, general management, and more. While most companies are offering internships for the upcoming Summer and Fall semesters, students can also find more immediate placement
Register for the fair »
Student registration closes on March 16. Attendance is free, but registration is required.
About the fair:
- Attendees will be given a catalog of all companies in attendance when they arrive, this cannot be distributed in advance. A.R.T./New York will not distribute a list of attending companies in advance, but all companies will be A.R.T./New York members. To see a current list of A.R.T./New York members, click here.
- Students are encouraged to bring copies of their resume to distribute to companies they meet at the fair. Most companies will not be conducting interviews at the fair. This is not a casting opportunity.
- When registering students must select an arrival time. These times are staggered to optimize capacity. Attendees are welcome to continue speaking with theatre companies until the end of the fair, regardless of arrival time.
- To be added to the Theatre Intern Database, simply include a pdf of your resume when you register for the fair, there is no need to fill out the database registration form as well if you are already registering for the fair.
Theatre Intern Database
The Theatre Intern Database is available year-round to assist A.R.T./New York member theatres in finding interns whose interests match their needs. Interns can add themselves to the database at any time, making their resume available to A.R.T./New York's 360 member theatres.
American Theatre Wing
For students and interns seeking year-round professional development we recommend American Theatre Wing's Theatre Intern Network. The Theatre Intern Network allows interns to share, network, and learn through monthly meet-ups that help them gain and maintain industry contacts.
