APPLYING TO AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN NEW YORK CITY
A SEMINAR BY THE ACTORS FUND
By Sarah Meier-Zimbler
Monday, January 11, 2016
10:00am-12:00pm
520 8th Avenue, 3rd Floor, Bruce Mitchell Room
Want to apply for affordable housing but don't know where to begin? The Actors Fund hosts monthly seminars to provide an overview of affordable housing in New York City. The seminar walks participants through the process to apply and includes pertinent information regarding income eligibility with specific attention to the needs of the entertainment community. With Mayor de Blasio's plan to build new affordable housing over the next ten years, this two-hour seminar provides the tools and resources to get organized and understand the process. In addition to information about city-wide subsidized housing, information is also provided about housing specifically for the performing arts community.
The Actors Fund is a national human services organization that helps professionals in performing
arts and entertainment in times of need, crisis or transition.
