Panel Discussion Series

Announcing the Access Panel Series

Through this ongoing series of panel discussions, we'll give you access to a wide range of industry professionals you might not get to meet on a regular basis.  They'll talk about the big questions facing their particular fields, and you'll discover how it applies to you and your own work in the theatre.

Upcoming Access Panels

Access: CASTING
Tuesday, June June 22, 6-8pm
A.R.T./New York Spaces @ 520 (520 Eighth Avenue, 3rd Floor, Bruce Mitchell Room)

Get inside the minds of casting directors, ask them your questions, and learn how to make the most of the time you spend in casting sessions. We'll discuss everything from how to select audition sides and read resumes, to that certain "something," to the complicated question of nontraditional casting.

Access: CRITICS
Tuesday, June 29, 5-7pm
A.R.T./New York Spaces @ 520 (520 Eighth Avenue, 3rd Floor, Bruce Mitchell Room)

Did you ever wonder what goes through a critic's mind when they're sitting in a dark theatre?  What do they look for?  Who are they writing for?  In this session, you'll have the chance to get to know four critics, ask them your questions, and learn how the changing landscape of arts journalism is affecting the role of the theatre critic in New York City.
